KP Cesspool Services provide cesspool, septic tank and sewage treatment plant services across Kent and East Sussex. We are the data controller for the information you send us through this website.

Only what you type into the contact form. That is your name, your phone number, your email address, your postcode, the service you picked from the list, and anything you write in the message box.

We do not ask for and do not want anything sensitive. Please do not include bank details, card numbers or health information in the message box.

The website does not create an account for you, and there is nothing to log in to.

We use it for one thing only, which is to answer your enquiry and quote for the work. Our lawful basis is that you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services.

We will not add you to a mailing list and we will not send you marketing. There is no marketing opt in on the form because we do not do any.

The form is handled by Web3Forms, a form delivery service acting as our processor. Your message passes through them and arrives by email with us and with Seonat, who built and look after this website.

Web3Forms also keep a copy in their dashboard so nothing is lost if an email fails to arrive. The site has no database of its own, so nothing you send is stored on the website itself.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host they process the technical request data needed to serve pages, such as your IP address, for security and reliability.

We set nothing until you say yes. When you first arrive you will see a small bar asking about analytics cookies. Until you choose, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google. If you say no, it stays that way.

If you say yes, we load Google Analytics, which sets a small number of cookies so we can see which pages people find useful and which they leave. It tells us things like how many people visited a page and roughly where in the country they were. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers. Your IP address is anonymised.

Changed your mind either way? Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page and you will be asked again.

Nothing else on the site tracks you. There is no advertising pixel, no social media tracker and no embedded third party content. The only cookie-free thing we store is your own answer to the question above, kept in your browser so we do not keep asking.

Enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them, which normally means up to two years from your last contact with us, so that we have a record if you come back to us about the same job. Where work goes ahead, records connected to that job are kept for six years to meet our accounting and legal obligations.

Ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Nobody, beyond the people described above. We do not sell your details, we do not share them with marketing companies, and we do not pass them to other trades.

Where we are legally required to hand over information, for example to the Environment Agency in connection with waste we have carried, we will comply.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email kpcesspoolservices@hotmail.com and we will deal with it within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
